Richard Marx opens up on the mix of genres he tackles on his latest album. 

Speaking with Deborah Knight on Afternoons, Marx says his new album ‘Songwriter‘ explores pop, rock, country, and ballads.

“The excitement for me is learning to write great songs in every format and genre.

“I’m just making music that I enjoy and pleases me, and hopefully the listeners do as well.”

Richard’s children Lucas and Jesse were also involved in the project, and share a special musical connection with their father.

Richard will also tour Australia and New Zealand next year on “The Songwriter’s Tour”. Tickets are on sale now.
