Roads Minister sends warning to truckies with tough new penalties
NSW Roads Minister Natalie Ward is hoping new penalties for overweight trucks will act as a warning for drivers.
The maximum penalty for overheight trucks will increase from $3740 to $5,500.
A driver also faces a six-month loss of license and 12 demerit points.
Ms Ward told Ray Hadley the regulation is being drafted now.
