Roger Federer announces retirement from tennis
Roger Federer has announced he will retire after next week’s Laver Cup in London.
The tennis great is retiring with 20 grand slam titles to his name.
The 41-year-old has not played a match since last year’s Wimbledon.

Tennis correspondent Craig Gabriel told Ben Fordham the news came “as a bit of a shock”.
“We knew it had to come but I don’t think anybody expected it suddenly today for him to be making an announcement.”
