Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco said Sam took the news better than expected when his expulsion was announced at training on Tuesday.

This comes after Sam Walker was axed from the Roosters after the team’s back-to-back losses.

Tedesco told WWOS the news wasn’t surprising.

“We’re all pretty disappointed about how he played on Friday,” said the skipper

“I think it’s hard for Sammy… it’s not what you want to hear.”
