RSPCA gives Deborah Knight advice on adopting pets
After the passing of Deborah Knight’s cat Barry last week, an empty part of the family has been missing.
Deb has been thinking of purchasing a dog for her family and to lift the spirits of the kids.
2GB listeners are offering their views, some are saying not to get a dog, others say go to a breeder… and some are telling Deb to adopt.
RSPCA worker Kieran Watson brought the gorgeous puppy George into the studio to give Deb and listeners some advice on the adoption process.
“We want to find the right home for the right animal … it’s all about your lifestyle really,” he said.
“Maybe an older dog … we have plenty of senior dogs that need loving homes.
“We’ve got plenty of animals that are up for adoption, just keep checking the website.”
The RSPCA are also running Cupcake Day through the month of August, urging people to bake cakes and raise money.
