The Block host Scott Cam has opened up on why this month is so important to the health and safety of tradies.

Tradies National Health Month raises awareness of the health and injury risks affecting those who work in trade occupations-among tradies themselves, their families, employers and the wider community.

Statistics show that 60% of tradies often have aches and pains as a result of their job and that a decrease in physical health can have a negative impact on mental health.

Scott Cam told Deborah Knight that work and safety culture is “crucial”.

“We want the boys and girls who work in the construction industry to be not only physically safe but mentally safe.”
