Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese speak about their love of Rugby League
Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese joined The Continuous Call Team on election day.
It’s no secret both leaders love their Rugby League with Mr Morrison a passionate Cronulla fan, and Mr Albanese a South Sydney supporter.
Ahead of Cronulla’s clash with the Gold Coast tomorrow, the Prime Minister named one player he loves to watch.
“I’m actually a big fan of Connor Tracey,” Mr Morrison said.
“He’s got speed, he can use the ball, he’s got a good kick on him.”
After losing the last election in 2019, Mr Albanese compared Labor’s push for power this year to the 1970 Grand Final when Souths defeated Manly, after the Rabbitohs lost to Balmain the year before.
“This time round we’re like the 1970s Souths side,” Mr Albanese said.
“Bounced back from 1969 and won in 1970 and 1971.”
