Shadow minister blasts NSW government’s ‘extraordinary’ refusal to let Parliament sit
The Berejiklian government is refusing to return to NSW Parliament until October 12, despite the proposal of on-site rapid COVID testing and a mandatory vaccination policy.
Labor have this afternoon attempted a sitting of the Legislative Council, but have been shut down by Coalition members refusing to attend.
Labor MLC and shadow police minister Walt Secord told Clinton Maynard it’s only fair for the government to do its job when so many essential workers are out putting their lives on the line.
“We just think it’s extraordinary.
“The majority of the members of the Legislative Council want to sit – we want to hold the government to account.”
