Cronulla Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta is hopeful of re-signing last year’s Dally M Medal winner Nicho Hynes in the near future.

It comes after reports emerged yesterday that Hynes could become the highest paid player in Sharks history, if he re-signs on a multi-million dollar deal.

Mezzatesta told The Continuous Call Team Hynes will demand the big dollars but he deserves it.

“Talks are still obviously carrying on in the background,” Mezzatesta said.

“We know he wants to stay here and obviously we want him to stay here.”
