Olivia Newton-John is one of Australia’s greatest success stories.

Now, Australia’s sweetheart Delta Goodrem is gracing our television screens, paying homage to Olivia’s life.

For Delta, getting the chance to play her childhood idol is a dream come true.

“She really inspired me my whole life,” Delta tells Alan Jones.

“These songs were some of the first songs I ever sang to anybody.

“It’s just been really, really special.”

Alan was blown away by Delta’s performance, saying the 33-year-old singer/songwriter has emerged as an actress in her own right.

The two-part series, Hopelessly Devoted to You aired last night, with the second episode playing this Sunday night.
