Why sheep dogs are making a comeback across rural farms
Working dogs are making a comeback on rural properties, with farmers struggling to find workers willing to tackle the challenging conditions.
Queensland Working Sheep Dogs Association President Linda Mitchell says it’s due to the resurgence of the wool industry.
She tells John Stanley “sheep dogs have already been around” but with a rise in wool prices, people are getting more sheep.
But Ms Mitchell says there are trials to determine who makes the cut.
