‘Show some courage’: Nationals Leader says biosecurity measures don’t go far enough
The Shadow Agriculture Minister & Nationals Leader David Littleproud has joined Jim Wilson on Drive to comment on new biosecurity measures put in place keep foot and mouth disease out of Australia.
After a long wait, Agriculture Minister Murray Watt has rolled out some extra measures including sniffer dogs and random checks.
“It still doesn’t go far enough, sniffer dogs do not pick up FMD,” David Littleproud told Jim Wilson.
“This is welcomed, but it still doesn’t go to the heart of what’s needed.
“Be decisive, show some leadership, show some courage.”
