Socceroos legend calls for more funding for sporting infrastructure
The state government is being asked to invest more heavily in sporting facilities, to help meet rising quotas.
More than a $1 billion has been set aside for community infrastructure since 2017.
But Sports New South Wales is calling for an $8 million increase.
Socceroos legend Robbie Slater told Mark Levy the cuts have made life difficult for sport loving children in the state.
“The cuts did hurt very deeply. The investment will help the lifestyles for children to help them get away from their screens.”
