An Aussie taking on an extraordinary challenge has provided an update on her rowing journey.

Michelle Lee is rowing across the Pacific from the coast of Mexico to Sydney Harbour.

The solo rower told Ben Fordham she has clocked around 7,500 kilometres so far and has around 5,500 kilometres to go.

Currently at sea for nearly four months Michelle told Ben, “Once I hit the South Pacific then I will really feel like I’m hitting home”.
