Sport Hall of Fame: Olympian Jana Pittman explains why she became a doctor
Dual-Olympian Jana Pittman has been inducted into the Sport Hall of Fame.
Over the last two years, Dr Pittman has been treating patients with COVID on the front line after making the switch to medicine.
The 37-year-old told Deborah Knight her time competing drove her to make the change.
“I genuinely believe it’s the lack of winning the Olympics that then pushed me to try to get into medicine.
“I wanted to be a doctor long before I wanted to be an athlete.”
