Sporting bodies furious with plan to remove SCG carpark
The NSW government is planning to remove a popular car park at Moore Park and replace it with a synthetic cricket pitch.
From 2023, the alternative to the large grass area outside the Sydney Cricket Ground will be a new car park which will have 1,200 fewer car spots.
Ben Fordham says the plan is “madness” and has revealed sporting bodies are warning it will cause problems.
“After that, if you park on the grass you’ll be slapped with a massive fine.
“It looks like the Planning Minister is bowing to the demands of a few local residents, and this is another example of leaders being brainwashed by greenies.”

Listeners have called into the open line, outraged at the plan.
Minister for Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres, told Ben Fordham the plan may not be popular with some but there are many alternative options.
“We do want people spending less time getting to these major events, that’s why we’ve invested billions of dollars in public transport.
“I think it will create a better experience for people.”
