Studio 10 panellist accuses TV legend of racism over Australia Day protest
TV legend Kerri-Anne Kennerley says Yumi Stynes misunderstood her comments surrounding an Invasion Day protest on the Studio 10 program Monday morning.
Ms Kennerley tells Ben Fordham her comments highlighting sexual abuse in indigenous communities had “nothing to do with racism”.
On the program, the Studio 10 co-host blasted the protesters, accusing them of ignoring the alleged rape of children and women in remote communities.
At this point, fellow panellist Yumi Stynes accused the TV veteran of “sounding racist”.
“Every time you open your mouth, you’re sounding racist,” she said.
