Sydney Fish Market’s 36-hour Christmas Marathon kicks off
Prawns and oysters are among the most popular seafood products as the Sydney Fish Market trades non-stop for 36 hours.
About 100,000 people are expected to pass through, and 350 tonnes of seafood will be sold.
The Market’s Alex Stollznow told John Stanley the main carpark is open, but it’s very busy.
“We are seeing a lot of people utilising public transport and light rail to get to us, which is great to see.”
2GB Producer Brianna Raymond told John Stanley the market is bustling with people, with thousands more expected to arrive throughout the day.
“Definitely plan your trip, know what you are coming in for and what you are wanting to buy.”
