Sydney mayors up in arms over ISIS brides’ resettlement
Fairfield City Council Mayor Frank Carbone says a meeting with the Prime Minister is needed over the repatriation of the wives of Islamic State fighters to their LGAs.
The mayors of Campbelltown, Liverpool and Fairfield penned a letter to Anthony Albanese and the federal government.
Mr Carbone told Deborah Knight the community is concerned.
“We’re not the dumping ground for the federal government.
“They’re saying, ‘Why would you put them next door to a lot of the victims?'”
