A Sydney restaurateur is calling on the federal government to urgently fast-track the skilled worker visa process.

There are almost 500,000 jobs available in Australia right now but there’s a shortage of workers.

Hospitality tycoon Justin Hemmes told Ben Fordham skilled migrants are integral to the workforce.

“Our industry heavily relies on foreign workers.

“We can actually create an entire business around them – they upskill our talent within our country.”
