Sydney students plunged back to remote learning amid COVID outbreak
Year 3 students at a Sydney primary school have been forced to learn from home after a significant portion of students tested positive to COVID-19.
The NSW Department of Education confirmed Year 3 students at Carlingford West Public School will be doing online learning for the week and return to school on the 21st of February.
Ray Hadley has received reports about 200 people tested positive at the school this week.
All other grades at the school will be operating as normal.

NSW Department of Education full statement:
“The wellbeing of students is our highest priority.
“Carlingford West Public School is one of the largest primary schools in the state. A significant portion of parents with students in Year 3 have reported their students have tested positive for COVID-19.
“In an abundance of caution the school has asked the Year 3 cohort to learn from home for three days, returning to school on Monday 21 February.
“The students will be supported in their learning at home by teachers from the school using school-developed programs.
“All other grades within the school are operating as normal.
“We do not report on individual COVID cases for privacy reasons.”
