Ray Hadley is encouraging individuals who plan to donate their organs to discuss the decision with their families.

In May, 2015 the Gremmo family was changed forever when their eldest child, Nathan, tragically lost his life in an accident at just 13 years old.

His family donated his organs when he died, knowing it was his wish to give life to others.

Now, the Gremmo family encourages Australians to don their team colours for Jersey Day each year to raise awareness about organ donation.

Ray said the decision is “emotional” but one that must be talked through with family members.

“I know its unpleasant, I know its difficult, some people just want to avoid it,” he said.

“It’s obviously inevitable for all of us and so it’s terribly important you talk to your family about it.”
