Tamika Upton has signed the longest NRLW contract in history
Newcastle Knights fullback, Tamika Upton, has signed a five year contract to stay on with the mighty Knights until 2027.
NRLW players were restricted to signing single-year deals until the start of this 2023 season, as the competition expanded.
This five year contract has significantly altered the outlook on the future of NRLW.
“I can’t believe it, how far the women’s game has come in the last three years and now I’ve signed a five year deal, Tamika told Mat Thompson and Brad Fittler.
Tamika also may have let it slip that her teammate Millie Boyle is moving over to the Roosters.
“I’m pretty sure she’s off,” said Tamika.
