Taxi drivers furious over proposed changes
The Taxi Council is raising concerns about a planned buyback of taxi licenses.
Proposed reforms would see taxi licenses scrapped, with the government considering compensation of about $50,000.
NSW Taxi Council CEO Martin Rogers told Ben Fordham the plates were bought for nearly $400,000 before Uber was introduced.
“They should pay fair compensation to the value of licenses in 2015.”
