A Sydney teenager has been killed after falling from a balcony on the Gold Coast.

The 18-year-old Turramurra High School student was in Surfer’s Paradise for end of school celebrations.

He’s died after plunging from a balcony at about 5am this morning.

Police are awaiting toxicology tests to determine if drugs or alcohol could have been a factor.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Counselling is being offered to his peers.
