Ben Fordham is calling on the TGA to approve two locally-produced rapid antigen tests.

While Australia moves away from PCR tests in favour of rapid antigen tests, supplies remain scarce across the country.

Two Australian companies are still waiting for TGA approval, Ellume and Anteo-Tech, while pharmacies charter flights from China.

16 of the 22 brands of rapid tests used in Australia are made in China.

“The lack of foresight is staggering,” Ben said.

“Ellume is now sending America 700,000 rapid antigen tests every single week.

“The answer is under our noses … approve Ellume and Anteo-Tech today!”
