The South Sydney Rabbitohs have finished licking their wounds following their Grand Final loss, ready to enter a new era.

New Rabbitohs head coach Jason Demetriou told Mark Levy he learned a lot under legendary coach Wayne Bennett’s tutelage, but won’t seek to replicate him.

“The biggest thing that I’ve learned under Wayne is the simplicity in how he approaches his coaching, and that won’t change under me.

“It’s about building relationships … with your playing group and your staff, and that’s where … I’ll be able to be unique.

“We’re excited to hit the ground running in the new year.”
