The fight the Prime Minister is enlisting all Australians in

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reinforced his commitment to cracking down on paedophiles on the third anniversary of the national apology to child sexual abuse victims.

Speaking to Ray Hadley, Mr Morrison pledged to go after child sexual offenders “with everything we’ve got”, including by boosting funding for the AFP and AUSTRAC, and through international cooperation.

The presence of predators in the online sphere adds to the challenge of child protection, and the Prime Minister called on all parents to be aware of their kids’ Internet usage.

“I’ve got to say Ray, this is probably one that enlists most Australians in the fight.

“My kids are quite young, they’re 12 and 14.

“We make sure the kids don’t have their devices in their rooms at night … they don’t play online games and things like that.

“We’re beginning to win this, but we’ve got a long way to go.”
