The Federal Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) proposal is set to pass Parliament after the Greens confirmed they would support the bill aimed at delivering 30,000 new rental homes in its first five years.

The Greens’ support for the bill comes following the commitment of an extra $1 billion in public and community housing spending for this year.

Federal Political Reporter, Zac de Silva, joined Deborah Knight to break down how the support came about, including the frustrations from Greens leader Adam Bandt after they couldn’t secure an agreement on rent caps or rent freezes.
