Well-known Channel 9 news presenter Peter Overton has opened up about “one of the great nights” of his life.

You might have noticed Peter was missing from your screens on Wednesday night as he took the night off to attend 12-year-old Allegra’s father-daughter dance.

Now, he’s caught up with Ray Hadley about the special night, where he danced to the Macarena, The Barn Dance and the YMCA.

“It was the highlight of my life.

“It was lovely to go and do it without having to do the news, just completely devoted to the little one.”
