‘The opposition to this is pure madness’: Ben Fordham calls for nuclear power
Ben Fordham says it’s time for “common sense” to hit the people who continue to talk down nuclear energy.
Two of New South Wales’ largest coal plants are closing in three years.
Ben is fed up with federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen and state counterpart Matt Kean not taking nuclear power seriously.
“They both need to pick up the phone to the nuclear engineer Tony Irwin,” Ben said.
Mr Irwin’s modelling found that nuclear power has the potential to be cheaper and more efficient than renewables.
“The opposition to this is pure madness, if they’re putting coal and gas out of business, they must go nuclear.”
