The Peanuts Wellbeing Sanctuary needs your help
In Goulburn NSW, the Peanuts Wellbeing Sanctuary has been worked close to the bone.
The sanctuary, which is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity, aims to help bring together disadvantaged, neglected and abused animals and children to bring hope, trust, and respect.
Put simply, they look to break the cycle of abuse and teach kindness.
In response to a feedback email, Luke Grant on Summer Drive at 2GB interviewed the sanctuary’s owner Michael Still. The farm has had its volunteers and staff stretched to the maximum with many also being RFS volunteers fighting the raging fires nearby.
“We’re both taking shifts, so one of us stays at the sanctuary to protect the animals and the kids we’ve got, and the other has been going out and fighting the fires,” says Michael.
“It’s just been total chaos of come and go, come and go for the last week.”
Pleading with the public, the sanctuary has asked for donations to help provide food for the animals to make sure they stay fed, healthy and safe.
