Political commentator Peta Credlin has nothing but praise for the Prime Minister’s latest speech.

Scott Morrison delivered the address to the Institute of Public Administration in Canberra on Monday.

Peta Credlin tells Ben Fordham the Prime Minister essentially told the public service they have to lift their game because they’ve lost the public’s trust.

“It’s not a sexy speech… it won’t win headlines.

“But if your listeners go onto the Prime Minister’s website and have a look at that speech and read it, what’s he’s actually doing in blunt language that public servants don’t often get from leadership is put a rocket up them to say ‘you’ve got to deliver’.

“I think it was a very strong speech for the PM.”
