‘They should be deported’: Dutton calls for action on protestors with Visas
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called for tougher consequences for those participating in illegal protests, following the controversial pro-Palestinian protest that took place on Monday night.
This call comes after NSW Premier Chris Minns publicly apologised to the Sydney Jewish community for the protest that began in the Sydney CBD before moving to the Opera House.
“I really want to make it clear to the Jewish community that I want to apologise to them specifically, on behalf of the government and myself as the premier of NSW,” Minns told reporters on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Dutton emphasised the need for action, especially concerning protesters who are visiting the country on visas.
“If there were people there who were on visas, they should be identified and have their visas cancelled. They should be deported,” he told Ray Hadley.
