This $5 lunch menu must be eaten on the floor
A Sydney pub is offering a $5 lunch menu but it will need to be eaten on the floor.
The Balmain Hotel in Sydney’s inner west has just released an affordable menu which includes scrambled eggs with spinach and salmon, and a chicken mince stir fry served on a bed of brown rice.
The only catch is it’s for dogs.
The Manager of the hotel Danielle Simpson tells Chris Smith the development of the menu was a no-brainer, “we’re right beside a dog park and a lot of our locals have fur-babies”.
“So we thought we may as well look after our locals and their furbabies with a special menu just for them.”
There are a few rules for the dog patrons though, “no barking, biting or begging”.
“And they need to eat at the floor,” she says.
