Iconic Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith is backing Jim Wilson’s campaign to book direct for Aussie tourism.

Over the past few weeks stories have been shared about how companies like Booking.com have been hounding motel and hotel owners for fees after being affected by floods.

Dick told Jim Wilson, “It’s basically extortion”.

He said that the big-name companies “extort money out of Australian businesses.”

“They are enormously powerful.”
