‘This is the new Australia’ – Michael slams ‘money tree’ idea for universal childcare
Michael McLaren doesn’t agree with the idea that parents would no longer need to work or study to access childcare support, under major reforms being promised by Labor.
The Albanese government will guarantee three days a week of childcare for ALL families if it wins the next election.
The measure would replace the much-criticised “activity test,” which requires parents to work or study to access government subsidies.
