A man has been found dead inside a burning home in Sydney’s West.

Emergency Services were called to the home in Blacktown around 5am, finding the single-story home fully engulfed in flames.

The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

The woman, aged in her 80s, has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Luke Unsworth spoke to Ben Fordham about the incident.
