Three-year-old Memphis to return home to Queensland today
A three-year-old boy left stranded in NSW will return home today after Queensland Health granted him an exemption.
Memphis went to visit his grandparents on a cattle station south of Griffith on July 9, and has been there ever since.
He’s been unable to return home to his parents, with multiple exemption requests denied, until yesterday after a huge reaction from the public.
Memphis’ grandmother Alex told Ben Fordham they’re ready to board the plane.
“A big piece of my heart’s leaving today.
“He’s been up since three so it’s going to be a big day for him.”

If this isn’t the best thing I’ve seen all week. Memphis is reunited with his mother. @9NewsQueensland pic.twitter.com/Vzkcf74BWd
