Tourism businesses crying out for international travellers
Aussie businesses are calling on the federal government to welcome back international tourists as soon as possible.
From Monday, fully vaccinated Australians will be allowed to travel overseas and return without quarantine.
Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive Andrew McKellar told Ben Fordham the government needs to move quickly to allow international tourism.
“We think that it can be safely managed to get those people in.
“From Monday next week the only customers that we’ve got at the moment in tourism can get on a plane and go almost anywhere in the world but no one can come the other way.”
