Train builder wants to save the world rather than finish Sydney’s light rail
The Sydney light rail contractor that is well over budget and well behind schedule has now launched a global campaign to end climate change.
Instead of finishing the job which is causing mayhem in Sydney’s CBD, they’ve decided to throw money into the celebrity-backed campaign headed by Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth.
As revealed by The Daily Telegraph, Acciona launched the campaign urging governments, companies and consumers to “invest in the planet”.
Great investments are not just ones that happen on the stock market. Each and every one of us still has time to invest in and save our planet from the effects of climate change. Take a step forward with me and #InvestInThePlanet. @ACCIONA_EN #Adhttps://t.co/YIJmKv9E6x pic.twitter.com/AcfamR1xe5

Light rail services were expected to be running by 2019 but the project’s completion date has now been pushed back to as late as March 2020.
Sydney Councillor and Founder of the Small Business Matters party Angela Vithoulkas has been fighting the Sydney light rail since day one and says this campaign is just the tip of the iceberg.
