Trevor Long has questioned and wants listeners to ponder what the punishment should be to deter protestors from spraying paint or even vandalising statues, following the Captain Cook monument in Hyde Park being vandalised once again.

“I think spraying paint or vandalising a statue is about as useful as streaking at the footy. It’s a blip on the radar,” he said.

“It has no long-term enduring impact.”
