Trikafta finally approved on the PBS
The life-changing cystic fibrosis drug Trikafta has been approved on the PBS.
The Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee recommended the drug Trikafta and there has been a push over the last year for it to be approved.
Trikafta treats the disease and has proven to monumentally change sufferers’ lives and will be available on April 1.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said the approval is about hope, treatment and quality of life.
Mr Hunt told Ray Hadley, “I’m really pleased about this”.
