NSW Police have confirmed that two young people have handed themselves in at separate police stations after a massive fire on Randle Street in Surry Hills yesterday afternoon.

The boys, who are both 13 years of age, are now assisting police with their inquiries.

NSW Police say there were three or four other young people of a similar age present during the fire. They’ve asked them to come forward with their parents to provide “their side of the story”.

Fire and Rescue NSW also provided an update, saying that power is cut off to buildings on Randle Street, impacting apartments neighbouring the destroyed structure.
