Uber announces $26 million incentive for drivers to turn electric
Uber will halve service fees for drivers with electric cars as an incentive to get more Aussies to buy up the vehicles.
It’s part of a $26 million investment into Australia’s electric vehicle market over the next three years.
Less than one per cent of Uber drivers currently drive an electric vehicle but the company aims to have all their drivers in electric cars by 2040.
Australia and New Zealand general manager Dom Taylor told Ben Fordham the incentive could save drivers up to $3500 per year.
