‘Unpopular and wrong’: Chris Minns criticises Dominic Perrottet amid by-election results
Labor leader Chris Minns has weighed in on the results of the by-elections and has slammed Premier Dominic Perrottet in the process.
“I think people are out on Perrottet in big parts of Sydney,” he said.
With the Premier claiming that COVID had nothing to do with the results Mr Minns said, “He’s made wrong decisions”.
“I would’ve thought the government’s responsibility is to make things a bit easier for people.”
Labor’s Michael Holland won the NSW seat of Bega on the weekend by-elections and the opposition leader couldn’t be happier.
“He’s just been screaming at the government for years about regional health and regional hospitals.
“He’s gonna fight Brad Hazzard directly on the floor of parliament to his face on behalf of his constituents.”
The Nationals retained the seat of Monaro but Mr Minns said has remained positive.
“We’re not gonna give up on Monaro.”
