US school shooting leaves 17 dead in Florida
Don’t expect gun reform in America despite yet another school shooting.
David Ovalle from the Miami Herald tells Ben Fordham people aren’t hopeful the latest tragedy will lead to meaningful change.
“There’ll be a lot of huffing and puffing, but I doubt there’ll be a whole lot that gets done.”
Ben says America is “like a junkie with a needle in its arm”.
“America refuses to kick that fatal addiction to guns.
“They’re not even safe at school, and their leaders seem to have learnt absolutely nothing.”
The 19-year-old has now been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.
