Legendary sports broadcaster David ‘Thirsty’ Morrow has died aged 71, following a battle with brain cancer.

Morrow, a member of the Continuous Call Team, stepped away from his broadcasting duties earlier this year after receiving the cancer diagnosis.

Just last week, it was announced that Morrow would be inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame.

An emotional Ray Hadley said, “I’ve worked with a lot of people over a long time in broadcasting. There’s no more versatile sports commentator than David Morrow… He will be sadly missed by everyone.”
