Valentine Holmes open to switching sides for Maroons for Origin opener
Queensland centre Valentine Holmes says he’s open to switching sides from the left to the right for the Maroons in State of Origin one against NSW in Adelaide.
It comes after reports Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow will line up at left centre, with Holmes potentially going to the right side where he would come up against NSW star Latrell Mitchell.
Holmes told The Continuous Call Team he’s happy to do what’s best for the team.
“I have been playing left all of last year in Origin,” Holmes said.
“But I do understand the Hammer has only played left as well but if it were to come down to it and Billy (Slater) and the coaches wanted me to swap over, then I’m more than happy to do it.”
