50 Health Services Union workers in NSW and Queensland will win $1000 if they’ve been vaccinated or have a booking.

The union has launched a ‘Vax Lotto’ worth $50,000 in total in a bid to incentivise uptake among the remaining 20 per cent of unvaccinated members, and thank those who have already gotten jabbed.

Health Services Union NSW Secretary Gerard Hayes told Ray Hadley “we’re putting our money where our mouth is”.

He encouraged any members who remain hesitant to access information webinars with immunisation experts, which he told Ray Hadley have already changed many minds.

“We’ve had doctors on webinars who have been able to convert 25 per cent of the … 500 people there from what they had thought was right to what is right.”
